Hello,
first of all sorry for my lame english, but nobody could help me at the
german newsgroup..
So here is my problem:
I installed vista and it doesnt start after installing! I see these nice
green "things" (dont know what it is in english) and the "Microsoft
Corporation" logo.. my PC is detecting my FDD and my harddisk stops to load
vista. After that screen i described there is just a black screen and the
monitor turns into energy saving mode... i installed the 32 and 64 bit
version both dont work! I tried it several times on a seperate HDD - 30 GB
just for vista- no other data are on this drive! Just this drive and 1 DVD
Recorder are attached but why does that f*** not boot??

Hardware:
Intel Core 2 Duo E 6400 @ 2100 Mhz
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
MSI PCI Express Grafikkarte (ATI Radeon 1600 Pro)
IDE Port
1 WD HDD (Master)
1 DVD DVD Recorder (Slave)

Hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen

You got it!! Same problem!! Which hardware do you have?? I read that my
Radeon X1600 Pro could possibly be the problem... i found an old PCI Graphic
Card and installed it - doesnt work at all! Please more help!

I've got a E6600 and a Asus P5W DH Deluxe too (I wish I bought a P5B Deluxe
though).

I had a few weird things happening while installing as well, but I can't
remember what exactly I did to fix it, but I am using RAID 0 which might
have confused things.

All I can say is that there is that it is possible. Try updating your BIOS
to the latest beta which I have, 1503, or the latest stable at least, 1407.

My system has a the same motherboard and similar CPU. But I have a ATI
FireGL V5200, which is basically nearly the exact same hardware as the
Radeon X1600 XT, and my system works fine. Obvioulsy the gfx drivers are
different though.
