My husband has XP and Outlook does automatic spellcheck. Can I set Windows
Mail to do the same?
 
You can have it spell check before you send. That's all.
Tools - Options - Spelling
[x] Always check spelling before sending

The newer Windows Live Mail will spell check as you type.

Go to Tools Options Spelling and tick box Always check spelling before
sending.
Otherwise you get a silly message saying this language no longer available
for spell check - even if it is English!
