Vista: will there be a SideWinder Force Feedback 2 driver?

J

Jelle

Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I cannot find a place ragarding
Vista drivers. I know it isn't out yet, but still want to know if there
are going to be drivers, because Ms apparently abandoned there
Sidewinder-line. Of course Vista recognises my FF2, but i still need a
driver to make the forces work.

TY in advance.

I can't answer your question, but here are all the MS Vista newsgroups:

microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_account
microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices
microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing
microsoft.public.windows.vista.performance_maintenance
microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan
microsoft.public.windows.vista.security

I would try the hardware one, perhaps with a crosspost to the general
group.

No you are not! Microsoft has their own free public newsgroup server. You
should be able to add it to your news reader:

Also try the microsoft.public.simulators group - that stick is still used a
lot by flight simmers.
Or look for a games forum - there must be some in there who are trying to
run games on the vista betware.
The driver for that stick is a microsoft - the chances are that the driver
you have is the only driver you will get - check via your Hardware/Device
Manager.

It's what I call the 'coin syndrome' - there is always another side, which
should be pointed out.

Sorry JZ
Wrong reply to you - I have too many windows up on replies I am working on.
I believe you should have the MS driver dated 01 July 2001
v 5.1.2600.2180
Is that correct?
