Vista Upgrade question

I selected the format then install option. After seeing the message
"completeing the installation", a message appeared informing me that a
restart in necessary. After the computer restarted, I see the message "press
any key to boot from DVD". If I press a key, the install procedure starts
from the beginning. If I don't press a key, nothing more happens (the message
"press any key ......" just stays ion the screen). Any help is appreciated.
 
What happens if you take the DVD out and then press any key? I'm not saying
it'll work, but worth a try.
