Hi all,

I am currenly running Windows XP Pro 32, XP Pro 64 and Vista RC2 on my home
PC, in a multiple boot scenario. I have now purchased Vista Ultimate, which
comes with DVDs for both 32 bit and 64 bit.

Can I install both versions on my PC and activate both, or will I need to
purchase a second license?

My PC configuration is as follows:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor 5200+
ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard

C-Drive Seagate 320G 16M SATA II NCQ PRT BARRACUDA 7200.10 - running Windows
XP Pro 32 bit
D-Drive Seagate 320G 16M SATA II NCQ PRT BARRACUDA 7200.10 - running Windows
XP Pro 64 bit
E-Drive Seagate 320G 16M SATA II NCQ PRT BARRACUDA 7200.10 - running Windows
Vista RC2 - 32 bit
F-Drive Seagate 320G 16M SATA II NCQ PRT BARRACUDA 7200.10 - reserved for
Vista 64 bit.

Memory 4 x 1.0GB DDRII-533 240PIN DIMM

Once license per installation, so you'll need a second license.

Thanks "Jane C" for your advice. I thought it would be a licensing issue. I
contacted Microsoft Support and they advised that I cannot buy a second
license per sec, and that the options are to buy a 5 license pack or buy a
second copy of Vista Ultimate. The support person at Microsoft could not
determine if a second Ultimate upgrade version would work with my
configuration, or that I would need to purchase the full Ultimate version.

To use two Vista upgrade versions you need two XP licenses.
