When doing a clean install and the computer goes into the first reset, it
will not load Vista in any mode. Nor does the F8 menus work, except rollback.
I have the most recent bios installed. Any ideas?

Well, with the info you have provided the only question I have is this:
Does your computer have a 64-bit processor? If not, you cannot install Vista
Ultimate 64, just the 32-bt version.

could be some hardware that it does not like.
turn off any not needed devices in the bios. disable any not needed ports like usb, serial/parallel in the bios

and for sure turn off over clocking.

No, I have disabled all I can in the bios. I have IDE drives. XP Pro 64 OS
loads fine.
