Vista: "Are you sure you want to run this software?"

Me: "'Yessssssssss"

Vista: "Always ask before opening this file?"

Me: "Nooooooooo! I run it every single day and it's fine"

Even though i told it to stop asking me - it asks me eveytime i open it
(every day) - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Vista is user-friendly. It likes to talk to you, even when you tell it to
shut the hell up.

Have you tried configuring the properties of the exe file to have it always
run as admin?

If it is older software, have you tried one of the older compatibility
modes?

Just gave it a try but it makes no difference - it still asks for
verification?

For the benefit of someone with similar trouble, I eventually found the
problem - I checked the main program and included in the general properties
was a message something like:

"This is an old program and Vista is currently blocking it - Do you want to
unblock it?" - I unblocked it and it's fine now

In my case, despite being an administrator I had to give myself permission
to unblock it which is why it was ignoring my earlier attempts to unblock it
at run time which I have posted under a new thread about "Program Files'
permissions?"

Thanks for posting back with your solution. That is helpful to others and
so rarely done.

Concur with Mr. Barnes; congrats on finding the fix and thanks for posting
it.
