VISTA TASKBAR

How do I adjust the size of the taskbar and increase the size of the taskbar
icons in Vista ? I "Unlocked" the Taskbar and tried to re-size it, but it
didn't work.

They don't let you do that, but sometimes if you increase the FONT size, it
makes the bar expand to accept the bigger font.
I guess that is kind of a way to increase it indirectly.

Now if they'd just let me move the ignition switch from the trunk back to
the passenger compartment...
I wish someone at MS had talked to Ford historians about the Edsel before
they released their version.

After reading your post I tried to do one of the items you
requested.
Try this... Right click task bar >-uncheck 'Lock the Taskbar' >-
place cursor on top of taskbar until cursor changes to
double ended arrow, then drag the taskbar up.
Works on my home machine with Business.
As to increasing the size of the icons, hmmmmmm don't
know about that one.

I have a friend that made his taskbar icons larger on XP, but couldn't
figure out how to do it on Vista. After fiddling with it a while, he got it
to work, but doesn't know how. We tried pressing CTRL and using the mouse
scroller, but that didn't work.

Try this: Right click Desktop, select Personalize, click Windows Color and
Appearance, click Open classic appearance properties for more color options
link, click Advanced button, select Inactive Title Bar from drop down list,
increase Size, click OK and click Apply. This will make the Taskbar larger and
will increase the size of all Taskbar icons too. You may also want to increase
the size of the fonts also.

HI Pauld,

Try this, go to "Control Panel/Peronalise/Window Colour and Appearance" Then
select "Open Classic Apearance Properties" Then click on Advance and where it
shopws "Item" scroll down to "Inactive Title Bar" then change the size up to
say 29 and then click ok/apply and you will find that the icons and text
change size. Just play around until you get the size you want.

Hope this helps ?
