vista slow boot on thinkpad t61p

hi all,

i have a brand new vista machine 3GB ram on a t61p thinkpad and were talking
5 min boot time. I have even reformatted to just vista and removing all
lenovo junk and the system is still slow as molasses. I want to love MSFT
but man this machine is just killing me. Are we doomed with vista or anyone
figured out what is going on here?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you are taking that long to boot on a clean install with nothing in the
startup axis then you likely have a hardware issue, possibly memory,
processor, or the power supply. Contact Lenovo about having warranty work
done.
