Dear all,

I am new to vista and i have got a brand new sony vaio FE41E and the
problem a face is that sometimes for no reasons windows shut down and
start again about 3 to 4 times in a raw and then I restart it
automatically and it works. Its really annoying and I would like to
find a solution as soon as possible. The problem happen at least once
a week.

I hope someone can help.

Gary

Do you think its a problem with the hardware or just vista? I think it
might be the OS because windows reboot automatically.

Gary

Gary, you give us nothing to go on.. the computer could shut down for any
number of reasons, but there is always a reason.. take it back and get it
properly tested and look at by a competent technician while it still costs
you nothing..

Make sure your video card is compatible with Vista and if so make sure you
have the latest drivers form the video card manufacture.

I had the same thing. I ended up using the Windows drivers for my ATI card
to make the madness stop.

Thanks very much for the quick answers,

My graphic card is a NIVIDIA GE FORCE GO 7400GPU and i am sure its
compatible because vista was installed on the PC when i bought it.

I am going to call sony.
