Hello,

The xp 'search' command might have been slow, but at least it found the
files I was looking for. The Vista version is quick, but cannot find files I
know to exist.

Can I get the xp version of search back ?

Thanks

KK

Hi,

Click start, then search in the right column. In the dialog, on the right of
the toolbar, click advanced search. You most likely need to include
non-indexed areas and system folders.

I hated Vista search and wondered what posed MS with that thing as it never
found any file I was looking for. Now, I see about that include non=indexed
files while using the Adv Search and suddenly I can find files now. :)

Thanks
