Vista RC1 Vs "ghost" Nero

I am using Vista Beta2 and tried upgrade to RC1, but, during install, I
received the message below:

You must make the following changes before installing Windows
Close Windows installation, go to Programs, and uninstall the following
programs:
Nero - Burning Rom

I don´t understood one thing. I´ve uninstalled Nero 3 days ago. Just for
experimental purpose, I tried install e uninstall again and the problem
persists. How can I bypass the compatibility tests or "exorcise" this ghost
program?

Sounds like Nero is still in the registry and Vista is seeing that or that it
is still listed in your windows directory (files). Do not forget when you
install Nero it has numerous files left behind when you uninstall it. It
installs files outside of the program directory so do a search for Nero and
see what is still being shown within the directory.

Nero actually disabled my firewall and AV when i installed it. I consider
Vista having a bug since all you should have to do is disable Nero then
install the upgrade for RC1.

Consider yourself lucky my RC1 will not allow me to upgrade but then I do
not go that route installing Beta upgrades since it is Beta I just install
from fresh then reinstall everything. Remember Beta new releases are fixing
bugs not like a OS which are patches, upgrades and not full versions.
