vista rc1 install

When trying to upgrade xp pro to vista rc1- It goes so far then tells me I
cant upgrade because of roxio backup mypc. This hasent been on my system for
a long time. It isnt in add remove programs not listed under windows install
cleanup. and I cant find any remenants in the registery. any ideas? Thanks

Have you asked Sonic's tech support for how to ferret out all the
references?

I'm guessing a non-standard mbr, running fixmbr from the Recovery Console
may help.
