Vista Product Keys

Ronald B.

Good Day,
I am in a bind as most alot of other people are also...I have misplaced my
printed emails with the BETA 2 PK's, and since i had the printouts and was
installing Vista, I do not have the emails anymore. I had 2 PK's given to me
by Microsoft. Is there an email address or phone I can use to retreive my
PK's? I installed without using the PK, and installed it as Vista Ultimate
since that is what the PK's are for. Thanks for your help.

Hi Ronald,

If you are on the Connect program you can log on to connect.microsoft.com
and get your product keys under My Participation/Product Keys. However if
you are on the public beta and only got them in the e-mail then you are SOL -
there is no way to get them back. You will have to find that original e-mail
from them.

Good luck!

Well, I ripped my entire house apart, quite litterally, and cant find the
damn emails that I had printed out. So, since MS cant give me new ones, I
will be forced to do the only thing I can do, use an Activation Crack! They
have forced me to do it, by not just letting me get a new key, or by not
keeping any record of the keys generated based on email address. I will be
in the process of finding a crack as I finish typing this message!!!!

Thanks Microsoft...now you know why so many people end up cracking and
stealing your products. You dont have generousity for your customers in
unfortunate events.!!!!

Thanks.

Ronald I am sorry that you feel that way. Microsoft maintains a level of
security because so many people do hack their products. That is one of the
reasons they warn you so strongly to keep your Product Keys safe.

I am sorry that I was the bearer of bad tidings, and that you seem to have
taken your frustration with Microsoft out on me.

Im sorry if I sounded like I was taking my frustraions out on you. I am just
hoping that maybe one of the MS guys will read this and think that
maintaining the product keys so they can be retreived, especially if they
require you to use the Beta 2 key, for the RC1, that would be coming out 3
months later. When i tested Windows Whistler, AKA WinXP, they maintained the
PK list, and each release used a different PK that was generated when you
went to download the Beta. That is all I am trying to say. I didnt mean to
make it sound as if I am taking my Frustrations out on you. Thanks for your
help and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hi Ronald,

If you were in the private beta (connect.microsoft.com) then you would be
able to retrieve your product key, as well as request a new one whenever
needed (I have three I think). However you are not on the same program, so
they do not maintain the list as well.

Good luck though! :)
