A newsletter stated that Vista Home Basic is priced at US $ 60 in China.
Its available for $ 109 in Pakistan and $ 350 in the UK.
Can anyone explain the difference in prices of the same product in different
countries ?

I can take a guess.

The China price is to compete with the Pirated copies floating in China.

The Pakistani price is the normal price.

The EU price is to collect the monies that Microsoft had to pay for the EU
lawsuit against MS.
