vista not auto updating patches

Hi my Vista stopped auto updating on March 30 2007. No sign of
any errors.
Can anyone help?

Does Vista show and install April updates if you search for updates manually?
What did you install on March 30th on your PC?
Try making a system restore to March 29th or earlier and see if that fixes
your problem.

what do you mean system restore? will that effect my programs and

System Restore is under Programs, Accessories, System Tools.
It allows you to restore your system to a previous working stage.
It will undo all changes in your PC from that day on.
Depending on where your data is located, it may be remain untouched or not.
Backup your important data and later on do the system restore.
Your PC will look exactly as it was the day you have chosen to restore.
If you are not familiar with system restore operation, get help from a friend.

I do know if your system calendar is incorrect it will stop updating.
