Vista: Need to Trim some Fat

I have a small partition for Vista for now, and noticed a couple bloated
folders. G:\Windows\winsxs 3.6GB and
G:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download 2.5GB. Is any of this needed?

why not just enlarge the partition.
vista should have at least 20gb to be happy.
if you managed to get it installed it should have enough room.
what extra over sized programs have you loaded that are taking up space.

My "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" is only 142MB.

I'm guessing you can clean that folder up.
