Vista/McAfee Issue

I'm not certain if this is the best place to ask for help, but I'm getting
the message below using Windows Vista on a Dell computer when I try to send
an email message. The addresses I've tried to send to are valid addresses.
I turned off the McAfee outbound scan and the messages still get stopped.
The emails end up in the the Sent Mail folder not the Outbound, so I don't
know what they are asking me to review. I don't know if its McAfee or
windows or both causing the issue. Any help is appreciated. The error
message is as follows:

"One or more e-mail messages cannot be sent.

After you verify the format of your recipient addresses, McAfee recommends
that you resend those messages from your e-mail program. "

You should not allow McAfee to mess with your email!
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee
or Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, NOT just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

Well, that just bites. Why would Dell sell me a computer with Vista as the
OS and then throw the friggin' McAfee in on top of it? That really cheeses
me. You'd think they'd make it compatible with the two largest antivirus
companies in the country. I never had a problem with my Outlook Express
email mixing it up with my Antivirus protection. Since I've already paid for
the McAfee, I'm reluctant to junk it out of hand. I may just install Outlook
Express instead of screwing around with my antivirus. I'll consider my
options after I simmer down.

You cannot install Outlook Express in Vista.

I don't know why anyone would pay for an AV when there are
plenty of free solutions available.

Dell and other computer sellers often include a trial copy of
McAfee or Norton AV because the AV vendor pays them to do so.
