I have some comments and questions about the Vista Beta I. Is there plan
to open a public newsgroup?

Thanks,

Eric

Probably not until Longdong/Pister is close to ready to go to the
public.

With XP MS opened up private NGs when they opened up BETA 2 for preview.
I suspect MS will do something similar with Longdong/Pister.

Thank you for your reply,

maybe someone on this forum can help, I am looking for a way to get to
the i386 folder of the LH Server exposed to install the adminpak.msi or
whatever the new process would need to be to get the same result.

thanks

Eric

read somewhere that there is no longer a I386 folder.

Yes, from me looking around I have found two dir changes that are
differnet in Vista.

1) C:\USERS - is now where c:\Documents and Settings used to be, the
one intresting thing is that c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ still
exists.

2) c:\InstalledRepository - I "think" is the I386 folder now, copied by
default on install.

But I still have not found a way to get my admin tools.

Cheers

Eric

Dear Eric & friends:

Look in your Newsgroup Provider for any group containing "winfx" in is
name.
