Vista Kernel in windows 7

Does windows 7 have the same kernel as vista sp2? If so, what advantages
are there in performance as it relates to copying large files.

You must have reading comprehension problems also. There are changes to the
Windows 7 kernel. If you want to keep your head in your ass and ignore the
info, the go ahead. BFD.

No. Windows 7 is a re-write. Performance is better in Windows 7 on many
fronts. There are a few idiots here who believe that Windows 7 is just a
service pack but it isn't.

I think re-write assumes too much. Vista is Windows 6.0. Win7 is Windows
6.1 (do a WINVER if you don't believe me.)
