Vista IS definitely a better NT kern

It started with NT - with the intent that if something crashed, it wouldn't
take the rest of the system with it.
XP was pretty good at that.
So far, Vista is TOPS!

I've had 2 lockups with my HDTV program (both times I was doing a bunch of
things at once and confused it) - it locked and Vista gave me a message -
cancel it or look for an answer. Nice!

I just had my first lockup with NWN2 this evening (after a LOT of playing!)
- same thing - cancel it or look for an answer. Very nice!

Can't recall any other program lockups, and no system lockups.

More stable and rock solid than XP and I thought XP was pretty darn good.

Gotta say, this is darned enjoyable!!!

Strange... I had quite a different experience: Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra and Vista native games hang on my Laptop from time to time (Dell XPS 1730). Although I'm even trying to stop their process in Task Manager, they are *not* being closed. They just continue hanging...

Just to get it straight: The cause of the hanging is not Vista, it's the Dell XPS 1730. It's the first notebook I bought that reveils not to be running on batteries. Any DirectX application hangs when unplugged... Very expensive notebook with very little use :(
