VIsta install error

Hi

I have managed to install the last ctp on my main pc and got it to dual boot
fine.

Now Beta 2 is not playing ball at all.

1 x 120Gb sata drive (current C: windows xp)
1 x 120Gb IDE drive (currently d: data)
1 40Gb IDE drive (E: Vista)

P4 3Ghz 1.5Gb RAM x800 xt sound blaster audigy 2 liteon dvdrw

First I try and install Vista from XP. I start the install and tell the
setup to install Vista on to E:, it copies teh WIM file to my C: drive then
starts to decompress files (stage 2) gets to 27% and asks to restart. Once
restarted the new Vista bootsreen comes up and it continues the isntall,
untill it gets back to decompressing the files where I get thie error
"Setup unable to locate Windown image files"

Lovely. I try again still same error. I re download the iso and burn it at
its slowest speed, still same error. I have copied the dvd onto my data drive
and run the install off that drive (much fast than the dvd isntall) and STILL
the same problem
I have also used a setup switch so that the temp files go to the E: drive.
Still same error.
If I boot up from the vista DVD and install Vista onto the H drive its fine,
but the install then changes the vista drive to C: drive and renames my xp
drive to e: (which was very annoying) After fixing this error and putting the
xp drive back to C: my xp install is working fine but I really really want to
install Vista now.

Can anyone help me with this here?

Thanks in advance.

Right afer some more playing around I managed to get up to 67% decompressing
files when I used deamon tools.

Can anyone suggest anything to me that I can try that I already have not done?

Thanks in advance
