Vista Home Basic Question

I'm considering ordering a laptop with Home Basic. I do some music and
watch some videos, surf a bunch through DSL, and will use it for
personal finance. Will the Basic edition serve my purposes ??

Probably not very satisfactorily. Vista Home Basic doesn't have much
in the way of multimedia (the music and videos) functionality.

It will let you down on the Music/Video part.
I would suggest Home Premium Edition..............or with enough RAM and if
you have the $$$ Vista Ultimate.
And dont let them sell you less than 1gb of RAM....2gb is even better
