Vista help

Ok..so i recently purchased a computer with Windows Vista on it....but I have
been heavily dissatisfied with it. I now cant play any of my games
(Battlefield 2, GTA, ETC) and other programs normally shutdown with the usual
Illegal Error message. It just seems that nothing is working with the new
windows at all. I've tried changing compatibility modes and looking for new
drivers yet nothing ever works. Since Vista is pretty much useless to me and
it makes my computer practically useless....is there a way that I can have my
Windows downgraded back to XP for free through microsoft? I know i'm not the
only one with these problems. I personally think that Vista was a good idea
but it was presented very poorly and it seems like its next to impossible to
get any help for it. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I do go back to XP
which one should I get?

If you want to go back to Windows XP on your "recently"purchased computer,
you have two choices.

Contact the computer manufacturer and see if they will help you.

Buy a retail version of Windows XP full install.
