Vista Firewall?

How is Vista firewall compared to the freebie standards like
AVG and Avast? I have Avast running on my Home Premium 32
version, but the built-in one is running too, which can create
conflicts.
 
The Windows firewall is more 'transparent' than most. It requires the least
'baby-sitting', since anything you initiate, it allows OUT. (All block all
unsolicited IN traffic.) Others block out, and require you to OK that. It
assumes you let something in, and now need help stopping it from getting
out.

You are not going to find anything better than the Vista FW and Vista in
itself due to the advanced features the FW and Vista are using.

"Personal Firewalls" are mostly snake-oil.
