Vista failing to activate after driver update

Hey

I'm really very sorry to bother everyone but I bought Vista Home Prem (full)
on the 30th of January and activated it right away, but this evening (5/3/07)
I did a Windows Update and it said that there was a new nForce4 SATA drive
that I should install, so after installing it, Vista told me that I need to
activate Vista again

I tried to do an online activation but it tells me that my code is "already
in use" but could I please ask how do I fix this? but also will I have to
call MS to get a new code?

Thank you all for your time

Telephone activation should cure the activation problem. Have a great
day.

telephone activation.
next time, get your hardware driver updates from the manufacturer and not microsoft update.

Hey

Thank you very much for your reply to my question :)

I called up MS to get a new code but while the man was telling me it the
line cut off so I had to do it again but this time the woman gave me the
code, but could I please ask what should I do if this happens again? New
drivers seem to be coming out monthly but I was woundering if this will
happen again and if so will I get refused a new product ID?

Thank you very much

Usually driver updates do not cause the need for activation.
And no, you will not be refused activation under those circumstances.
