Vista EXPLORER.EXE goes south

Periodically...maybe 2-3 daily...EXPLORER.EXE seems to get confused. Mouse
no longer points to correct items. Firing up Explorer to view a folder
contents opened the window but never populates it...blank. Quicklaunch icons
aren't reachable they are off the screen and cannot be reached. Cannot even
click START to access shutdown/reboot. Use Task manager to End task task
Explorer.exe and then use it to enter New task..."explorer.exe". Problem
goes away. Any thoughts...Running Vista Ultimate...Help

I've never seen this particular behavior myself. I'd suggest you run the
PE-based Vista repair from the installation DVD and see if it finds anything
needing repair.

have had the same problem.

Task bar and quick launch buttons aren't available. Can't determine a
pattern or sequence yet.

I had to do a hard reboot to get the computer back .
