In my more than 20 years in business I have never had such a waste of my time
as with the new VISTA OS. We had to purchase two laptops, one for a new
employee and another as a replacement. Both came with VISTA. We bought ACER
Aspire 5160's. What a mess, from the original setup time to trying to connect
to our LAN. Then we find out that ACER will not support us if we change to
XP. Keep this up & we'll go to LINUX.

All I can say here is why are you putting this on the MS OS? The computer
manufacturer is liable for this crap. I've got an iMac as well as multiple
pc's but I chose to install Vista on my iMac for the time being. I have no
problems with Vista what so ever, except for there are 2 pieces of hardware
that don't function properly (awaiting drivers for them). Of course if it
didn't work at all, then I would have no recourse but to install it on a
COMPATIBLE pc. You however have another course of action that you need to
take. Take that computer back where you got it and tell them that you can't
even get up and running with it. They are the ones who sold you the
computer under the pretense that it would function under vista.

The Linux community is now experiencing unprecedented growth with newbies
reporting they've come over from the dark side mainly because of the
release of Vista. Vista is responsible for the double digit growth in Linux
adoption. Thank you Microsoft! Nice to see your marketing machine in
action, working for users this time instead of just filling the bank
accounts of individuals like this guy ...

Cheers.
