When resuming from Sleep, Vista Home Prem.
about half the time does NOT request a new IP
from my wireless router and uses the one it was
using last - often stomping on an IP already in
use.

Any tips/setting on requiring the OS to release/renew
EVERY TIME when resuming from Sleep?

Thanks.

Try one of the following.

1. Install the latest firmware for the router and driver for the NIC.
2. Disable IPV6.
3. Disable auto-tuning.
