vista changed my file names

ok guys well i have a tad of a problem.
i wright games and i just finished a new version of the old mmorpg ragnarok
online and well all te file names are wrong when read on a vista computer.
for example.

( ¾ÆÀÌÅÛ ) was changed to ( _ÆAIÅU )

the only reason i can think of is the os is changeing the file name.
the language is korien i think.... but i use it for all encrypted file names
so no 1 else can edit them. please do help

From your writing and spelling on this post it looks like you probably
misspelled them........I would assume that English is not your native
tongue.

Really are you sure that you have the same font on the computer now being
used if you have transferred the files from a different computer? Looks as
if a different default font is being used by the computer.

No one can help you if you don't answer clarifying questions. To reiterate
what LVTravel said, it looks as though you don't have the same font
installed on your Vista machine that you used to create these files. It
appears that the old font had the 3/4 symbol and the new font doesn't,
hence the underscore that appears in its place. You will need to install
the old font on your computer or find one that has a 3/4 symbol in it.

Otherwise contact the makers of whatever program you are using to create the
games or look for a users' forum for it.

well the font used is ascii encryption and i have no idea what version
windows xp uses compared to vista...

i am really new to vista i only installed it today i wuld have no idea were
to look for the settings or the correct download, could you please point me
in the right direction.

Control Panel-Fonts. Same as in XP. You can install new fonts here with a
right-click...
