vista candidate 1 (9RC1)

I cannot load my wireless usb bt adaptor or my bt wireless hub so obviously
cannot connect to the internet to update or register my product key.
I also cannot load my creative X-Fi sound card any suggestions.

i had the same problem with my bt homehub and bt voyager laptop adapter,
after speaking to BT (which were most helpful NOT) they have declared that
they will not be producing any drivers or fixes for vista until the product
has been RTM, so after a long weekend and lots of reconfiguring i found that
the best way to install is to first connect the wireless adapter and let
windows install it (with the cd in the drive for the drivers) then let
windows manage the wireless network, works fine and have actually managed to
get up 5Mb/s d/l speed. If you still have no joy let me know and we'll see
if we can't figure something out

Hi Stretch
Thanks for the suggestion,I got so fed up I deleted Vista off my system but
with your reply I will try again.
Just one clarification did you install Vista with the hub and adapter
installed or did you install Vista without the hub and adapter then get
windows to find them?
My reason for asking is that when installing Vista the CD is in the drive?

installed with the hub and adapter installed, vista doesn't like the bt
software so you have to configure the network through the network and
sharing centre, most settings are copied over, just a few that need
entering, (like disabling ipv6) and by cd in the drive i mean the hub and
adapter cd's when windows starts to install the devices after settings are
changed. sorry if i sound confusing, if you still have no luck, i'll mail
you an installation plan when i get back from work.

Hi Stretch thanks so much for your help.
I reinstalled Vista on my D drive without the Voyager adapter in the USB
slot, fully installed Vista without internet connection and then plugged in
the Voyager adapter. When Vista asked for cd I pointed it to the install
programme and did not let the install work on auto.
Lo and behold everything worked and I now have full functionality on both
Voyager and Home Hub much better speeds than on XP.
