Vista Business "side" graded to Home Premium?

I have a version of Vista Business coming from a Dell I purchased. However, I
would prefer the VHP version as I like many of the features offered more-so
than some of the ones offered on Business.

"No" Dell won't allow me to change versions. The company is a complete JOKE
(it's no wonder they are losing market share to HP). "You would have to send
in your computer and change your operating system." I s'pose what he is
saying is that you cannot upgrade from XP Pro to Vista Home Premium. I don't
know that you CAN for certain, but I'm betting it's possible.

So the original question: IS there any way to get the features on VHP from a
version of VB? I'm interested in the Media Center features mostly.

Thanks!

The most direct route although not the cheapest is to upgrade from Business
to Ultimate which includes everything in both Business and Premium.

That's what I was afraid of. I haven't priced it yet, but I may be better off
just buying Home Premium for $119 some place and be done w/ it.

The Business to Ultimate Anytime Upgrade is $139 so for $20 more, you get
the top of the line. Dreamscene alone must be worth this much if only it
were available.

You cannot upgrade from XP Pro to Vista Home, as that would result in a loss
of functionality. A clean install would be required.
If you upgrade your XP to Vista Business, then you cannot upgrade again to
Home Premium. Clean install only.

If you want Home Premium, then you will have to buy the Home Premium retail
upgrade, and perform a Custom Install.

You can use the VHP upgrade with XP Pro as the qualifying OS, but it won't
allow an in place upgrade, only a custom install. See this link for upgrade
paths. Green dots mean in place upgrade available. Yellow dots - custom
install.

To get the features of Media Center and do an in place upgrade from XP Pro,
will require the vista Ultimate upgrade.
