Vista was working fine for about 2 weeks til now.
I moved some sata cables in my system and my system wouldn't boot.
I put everything back to the way it was, still no bootup.
tried the dvd repair option... said there was no installation on the drive.
tried command prompt and dir'ed the drive, files were there and looked like
a windows was still present.

Any ideas? i don't want to reinstall if possible.

thanks if anyone has any ideas.

Check the boot option for the correct boot drive settings in the system
BIOS. For some reason tings can me messed up there, especially when messing
around with drives etc.

tried that, all bios set up correctly.

More than one drive?
If so, did you choose/check the correct drive to boot from (not just if A HD
is selected to boot from)? That was what got switched here a while ago
(don't task why ;- )
