Vista Antivirus and Support, and upgrade Problems

I cannot express how annoyed I am about buying Vista 64.

1) I have tried 4 different Antivirus programs (Trend, NOD32, Avast, MS
Onecare) and none of them update (just stop with no progess of just a few K
in 30 minutes!), and Onecare will not even install! The problem is nothing
to do with the Internet connections, as the installation has NOTHING else
installled except the antivirus programs after a clean install, and IE
accesses websites fine. Other PC's on the network have no problems connecting
or updateing either. I have 2 ADSL lines so bandwidth is not the issue!

2) I am one of the few users in Thailand that actually have purchased a
legal licence of Vista, but when I put my licence number in the support page,
it says the number is invalid or badly formatted! I ahve checked the number
and format many times, it's correct!. Cannot get support unless I pay for it,
and cannot even contact support to resolve the issue without paying for it!

3) Trying to upgrade my version of MS Outlook, but cannot find ANY upgrade
options in the MS website. Actually there are NO Outlook upgrade options that
I can find on the MS website.

Don't think I can help much except to say that it's not purely a Vista 64
problem as I am running NOD32 here in the U.S. without a problem--the updates
have been totally painless. I've heard that ESET has great tech support by
email, so you might try them. Onecare is not compatible with 64 bit (at
least as of a couple weeks ago).

Good luck.

Thanks for trying but that doesn't help.

1) ANTIVIRUS UPDATE PROBLEM
I think it is a problem with 64-bit Vista and Virus scanner updates. I
noticed a similar problem with some other Antivirus programs I tested, but
have only really tried to diagnose the NOD32 problem. Updates work fine on
the same machine with NOD32 under XP so it's not a hardware or network
problem, that only leaves Driver, OS or NOD32, or a combination of them not
working.

I have already contacted NOD32 who gave a good response, but nothing yet to
solve the problem.

2) SUPPORT WEBSITE SAYS MY REGISTRATION IS INVALID
I also contacted "feedback" at Microsoft since their website was saying my
registration nubmer was invalid, but they came back with a completely useless
response which appeared to not even attempt to undersrtand or solve the
problems.

3) UPGRADING TO OUTLOOK 2007
Concerning Outlook upgrades, are there no upgrade options for just upgrading
a previous version of Outlook to Outlook 2007?
