Vista and XP

How can i get Battelfield 2 to work on my computer it downloaded ok but when
i start to run it the screen goes blank and then returns back the desk top?
 
What do you mean "it downloaded correctly ?" D you mean it installed
correctly ? Or did you use the EA downloader to get teh game or something ?
