Vista and U3

I have just purchased a U3 USB flashdrive, primarily to use with Ready Boost
to speed-up my PC.

Ready Boost works fine - but the U3 software does not appear to work
(nothing happens when I try to run it - even as Administrator).

Is U3 compatible with Vista? Is there anything I can do to get it to work or
should I wait until U3 update the software to make it work with Vista?

Bobby

U3 currently does NOT support Vista. No info on their site that suggests any
time frame for that to change. I have two new flash drives and U3 does not
work with RTM which is a bummer. I would guess by next month there has to be
an updated U3 for Vista.

Any program on a flash/jump/usb drive that autoruns when it is inserted is a
security threat. It was made incompatible on purpose.

No, if it were every autorun program (like Office Setup!) would also be
dead. Like many other programs you're going to have to wait for and/or ask
the manufacturer for a Vista-compatible version. That's all. Vista doesn't
care about U3 or any other autorun program.

Nope-

Talked to Sandisk about it.-I have a Sandisk Micro-U3, and they are
aware of it not being supported on Vista.
Said that in the future, will be.

I also bought the Sandisk Micro U3 and see it doesn't work. Is there ANY
FLASHDRIVE AT ALL that can work? I don't need U3 capabilities, just
transfering documents from one computer to another. Please help me!
Thanks
