How to install succesfully Vista on computer with AMD SB600 southbridge?
SATA is set to AHCI mode, and during installation the computer freezes.

I've integrated KB931369 patch into installation files, but no success
there. Installation starts only with SATA set to IDE mode.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem with mine. There is talk you can slipstream the
driver on a already installed os but I could not get it to work.
If you want to use AHCI you must turn it on fist in the bios then reinstall
the os again.

Install the OS with IDE mode. Once installed, download the required SATA
drivers and install them. Then reboot into the BIOS and reset the BIOS back
to SATA mode.

Why do that when If It Is Installed with the sata mode then vista will load
its own drivers.

Good idea, except the fact, that it does not work. OS hangs during
startup in similar way that during installation in AHCI mode.
