This is the Vista I downloaded and burned on to a DVD. Nothing happens when
I restart, other then the normal Windows XP boot. My BIOS looks at floppy
and both CD and DVD Drives but does not see the Vista DVD?
What am I doing wrong?

Did you burn it as an 'Image' file. I don't think you did by the sound of it.
For example in Norton you go to 'Recorder' and select 'Burn Image'.

Thank you guys,
I did use Nero only it's an OEM version and does not permit a specific type
of burning. Should I go to the more expensive "full Version" and why I have
you, would I be better of downloading the Vista x32?

You can download a free 1 month trial of Nero 7 from nero.com. In that
version on the main page at the top there is a heading 'Recorder'. Click on
that and you'll see 'Burn image' a liitle way down. You'd have to do exactly
the same thing if you download the 32 bit version so the choice is yours. I
assume that you do have a 64 bit computer, do you? Colin
