I wondered if there is a special cmd group for Vista.

Vista continues the batch syntax that is common to W2K and XP but might
have some extra utilities etc. I haven't seen any vista-unique batch
groups.

While there have been some O/S-specific batch groups, in the wild if not
here, there was never a full suite of them. When this was raised in the
past, one of the con arguments was the large amount of overlap. You might,
for example, post a wonderful solution to a problem in the vista/batch group
that would apply equally well to xp or w2k3. As a result, you would either
wind up having to review all the groups for possible solutions to your
problem, or you might miss some. It would also result in duplication of
effort on the part of those providing solutions.
