Visited pages not marked

For some reason the pages visited are no longer marked. Not sure the
technical term but , for instance. when you select a page from a Google
search it changes color and stays that way so you can see which pages you
have already opened. Now hte color returns to the original with no indication
of which pages were visited. What happened? How can this be fixed?

If the battery on the motherboard is dead, the time gets off, and History
fails.

Thanks for the response. History has also failed but the clock continues to
work. Problem seems to be in IE as all of the functions work in Mozilla.

Try changing the number of days you save history. (see IE, tools menu,
options, General tab.)

Increased as far as possible and rebooted. No change.

History is written to the registry. You may be seeing some 'Permissions"
error, there. It seems to be something 'going around' lately.
I would try a System Restore.
