visited link colors

IE 6, W2k. When clicking on links in web pages, they turn
to the "visited" color. It's my understanding that this
change is stored in my browser. Where is the change stored
and how can I reset my browser to show the default non-
visited color?

Clear your history: Tools, Internet Options, Clear History, and refresh
your page.
