Visio diagrams to Powerpoint Diagrams

I have cut and pasted Visio (dont know the version) diagrams into Powerpoint
2003. At work, from now on, I need to make changes to these diagrams and
maintain them in Powerpoint 2003. We will have many iterations of these
diagrams and I need to save them with a new version number each time. I do
not have visio on my new computer at work. How can I accomplish the task
assigned to me?
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

See this tutorial:

paste as picture is the one you want.
This will turn it into a piece of clip art that can be edited:

It's been my experience that (when you ungroup the picture) lines of text
frequently are converted to multiple text boxes, each containing only one or
two characters, making it a real pain to edit.

IMHO, you should get your boss to pay for you to have Visio on your work PC.
