Hi,
One day, I started having problems connecting to the
internet, and occasionally the computer would restart
while I was trying to connect.
I figured it was a virus, so I updated my virus program
and updated my Win XP (Home) with all the patches.
However, the virus program finds no viruses.
I went into the "Services" program, and under Remote
Procedure Call, changed the "what to do when service
fails" to "restart service" from "restart computer".
I even tried to install the windows patches by logging
into the "Administrator" account through "Safe Mode".
I even went to the virus program websites and downloaded
the specific virus remover programs for Blater and
Welchia. No luck!
I still have a hell of a time connecting to the net... it
either restarts my computer (say 1 in 10 tries), or it
doesn't connect, or it connects but I can't "do" anything
and it disconnects in a minute or so.
Any advice?
thanks
