virus/white wallpaper

I have some type of virus or trojan program running. When i run
my windows XP, my wallpaper automatically turns plain blue then turns
and stays white. Unfortunately I can't change the wallpaper back or
even to anything else form my control panel. In addition I can't
access my firewall properties due to "unknown problem." Any
suggestions on what virus or trojan is running and more importantly,
what program can get rid of it. I have and have used Avast and AOl
spyware but they haven't worked.

Hi Diaz...

One suggestion would be to read and understand information in this link, you
can get the pc cleaned up enough to scan for viruses afterward.
