I recently opened a link to what i thought was a picture
file on irc but it turned out to be infected with the
W32.Spybot.Worm a real nasty bugger .
My question is this - the file infected/created /changed
(i dont know) was c:/windows/system32/updt32v2.exe
my anti virus program cannot clean the file - is this a
critical system file or is it safe to delete it. (I have
windows XP).
also since that file has been quarantined by nav there is
a new file appeared in the same directory called
updt32v4.exe i want to know if the virus is just creating
a copy of itself to this file or if this is a system file
or what
Any help would be greatly appreciated
