virus scan word stop

I don't use the consumer version of NAV but the corporate edition (required
for network access by my company). Corporate edition does not have any place
in its configuration that will let me disable the Word plug-in so the
previous posts are no help to me.
When I originally installed Word, I was using NAV so I think that's what
Word is looking for but can't find, thus my slow loading of Word.
I have searched but can't find anywhere in Word to disable the virus scan
request. Is there somewhere that I can go in and change the antivirus program
that it's looking for?
Thanks for any ideas

If a consumer version of Symantec/Norton Antivirus was ever
installed on your computer, then it's possible that the Norton
Office Plugin is still registered in Windows, even if you
uninstalled the consumer version. Use Windows Explorer or My
Computer to search for the OFFICEAV.DLL file on your system
(include hidden and system files/folders in the search options),
and if you find it, note the directory path where it is located.
Close all open applications. From Windows, click on Start | Run.
In the Open dialog box, type the command (including quotes):

Regsvr32 -U "C:\<path>\OfficeAV.dll"

Replace <path> with the directory path for your OfficeAV.dll
file. Click on OK. You only have to run this command once (not
every time you restart your computer). You should get the
message: "DllUnregisterServer in C:\<path>\OfficeAV.dll
succeeded." Does that work?
