Virus Scan on Open

I'm using Word 2003 and also Norton Antivirus 2004. Each time I open Word or
a document it slows down to do a scan. I'd like to disable this, but there
does not appear to be such an option in Norton. Anyone else run across this?

This is the Norton Office Plug-in. I don't know about NAV 2004 (though I'm
under the gun to upgrade), but in NAV 2003 and earlier, this is how you
disable it:

1. Open Norton AntiVirus (right-click on the Taskbar icon and choose this
option).

2. Click on the Options button at the top of the dialog.

3. In the Options dialog, click on Miscellaneous (menu on the left)

4. Clear the check box for "Enable Office Plug-in."

5. OK out and close NAV.

Norton must have changed it in 2004 version, as there is no miscellaneous
tab or option. I have scoured Symantec's website, and will give that another
shot. If anyone else has any ideas, please post. Thanks,

Actually, the procedure Suzanne suggested *does* work -- I had missed
something.
