Dear friends:

How can I manually initiate a Virus Scan (On Demand) inside an Outlook
PST file?

The idea is to search the PST file for any virus in the messages *and*
in the attachments.

I am saying an "On Demand" virus scan, not the standard scan of the
income and sent email that the Antivirus Systems automatically do in
real time when receiving or sending an email.

Can McAfee or Norton products do that kind of virus scan? How?

Thanks

Well, there is a possibility to have an undetected virus in an old
unread received email, isn't it?

You can't. Why do you think it's desirable?

While that's certainly possible, so what? If you do have one and tried to
open it, your on-access scanner would notifiy you immediately.
