A scan indicated I had a virus (adclicker). It said it
couldn't be cleaned and I should delete the file and
replace it with a clean version. File is
C:\WINDOWS\System32\lbcsps.exe Where would I find a clean
version of this file and is it a necessary file?

Hi

I can't find any reference to that file. Are you sure that you have spelt
it correctly? Do you know which program it is related to?

It is likely you have some spyware that should be removed.
"lbcsps.exe " is not a Windows XP file....

Boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 whilst rebooting. Rename lbcsps.exe to
lbcsps.old. Reboot. If you don't have any errors being produced after a day
or two, delete the file. It is not a file native to Windows XP.

You don't replace it !

It's not a virus, it's adware/spyware. Get Spybot Search & Destroy and
Ad-aware, update them both and scan with both. Most a/v products do not
even detect spyware, some do but unless you have their enhanced version
they will not touch it.

The file is part of the infestation and you don't want to keep it,
however if your run the ant spyware programs I mentions one of them
should delete it and its associated registry entries.
