Virus infection

Sometimes when i use internet explorer a while then i would received a
Norton antivirus warning of certain worms like blaster infecting one
of the system files. Even while i'm using google mid way it would
appeared. Any explanation to this ? Thanks

It sounds like you're being hit by one of the Internet broadcast
worms, like W32.Blaster.Worm, W32.Welchia.Worm, or W32.Sasser.Worm,
but being at least partially protected from infection -- so far -- by
NAV. What kind of firewall are you using to protect yourself from the
exploits that NAV cannot yet detect?

If or when you get the shutdown message...

Go to; Start --> Run
enter; shutdown -a

This will halt the shutdown and give you a chance to Download the McAfee worm removal tool,
Stinger: http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ or the Microsoft Lovsan/Blaster and Nachi/Welchia

and install the following patch for the RPC/RPCSS and DCOM Vulnerabilities that are
addressed by Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-012 - KB828741

You also need a FireWall. If you don't patch the PC and not use a FireWall then you will
just be re-infected.

I also suggest the installation of *ALL* MS Critical Updates ASAP.

Would this worm causes network /internet line congestion ?
Recently i noticed that my line won't last long and it will
disconnected. Is this the symptions ?
